Cultivating a Future for DC Schools

Thursday, July 10, 2025

1200 U Street NW, WDC

True Reformer Building

6 - 8 PM

Make it stand out.

Schools are where the future takes root. But are we missing the deeper purpose of an education?

Too often, especially in communities of color, schools become the focus of costly, top-down solutions with little lasting impact, bypassing decades of disinvestment, trauma, and injustice. This misses the deeper purpose of education as a tool for liberation and justice for all.

Our young people sit with brilliance, purpose, and untapped potential, waiting to be nurtured into their fullest selves.

Join us for Harvesting Justice: Cultivating a Future for DC Schoolsa powerful gathering to reimagine education as a pathway to liberation, healing, and racial justice in communities full of brilliance and possibility.

"We have a powerful potential in our youth, and we must have the courage to change old ideas and practices so that we may direct their power toward good ends."

Mary McLeod Bethune
